This weekend I have seen two remarcable movies that made me think about…LIFE. The films were Mr. Nobody and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
A year ago I stepped into an old books store in Helsinki. I wasn't looking for anything when I accidentally saw an old LIFE Atlantic magazine. I have always been fascinated of the era when I was born especially New York at that time, although I still didn't know anything what had been going on back then. I knew that there were a lot of hippies, but that's about it. The magazine was dated 22 days after I was born in 1970, so I browsed through the pages eager to know more.
I didn't buy the magazine yet, I wanted to know if it was worth of my 2€. But then I saw something that was about to change the direction of my life. I saw pictures of two young woman, and on the next page a Manhattan brownstone building completely collapsed. When I finally realised what had happened on that day, I had to buy the magazine. Of cause the lady in that small store didn't take any kind of cards, only cash that I never carry with me. So, I almost left the magazine on her desk and walked away. But for some reason I asked her to keep the magazine for me while I get the money. I left the store, looked for an ATM, took 20€ bill out, and returned back to the store. After I payed that 2€ she placed the magazine in an extra big plastic bag and off I went.
I couldn't get over the story that I found from the… LIFE Atlantic, and for the past year I have spent all my extra hours investigating, searching, reading, listening, contacting people who were there when that all happened, and getting involved to the incredible story that one day will be a film, a new school propaganda film.
In those two movies that I mentioned above, Mr Nobody and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, LIFE is the big subject. You never know what happens in next hour, minute, second. Do yourself a favour and rejoice every single moment you have. Send love to people through you thoughts, forget the past and search for the fullest and happiest future you can imagine for yourself. Search LIFE. (And I hope you know that I don't mean the magazine…!)
Here are some pictures of that magazine that I told you about, but the pictures of those two girls and the townhouse are not here yet. I will reveal them later when the film is close to finish. Although three of the pictures below are somehow related to my film. And they are not Marlon Brando or Finnish Sauna!!
The book in Finnish will be out in August 2014. Later it'll be translated in English. I'll keep you posted on that :)
The book is based on the Eight Weeks to Enlightenment course I currently hold in Helsinki. Next course will start in August.
After the English edition is out (at some point in 2015), I'll start the teaching tour from Antwerp, Belgium. Later the course will be also held in Long Island, New York.
'The very purpose of our life is happiness, the very motion of our life is toward happiness.' - Dalai Lama
We had a wonderful day today shooting the pictures for my next yoga book. It's going to be even more beautiful than my first book. It's so nice to work with talented people. I'm overly grateful! Thank you Amira, Saija, Pauliina, Laura and Paula!
What is it with us people? When did we start to mess everything up? We have all what we want. We have what our parents fought for "The better life". But here we are with our mental problems. On Sunday morning father should be with his children making pancakes for them not shooting heroin into his system. Today all I read from SoMe is how people are sad, the great actor has passed away. That great actor has died for DRUG overuse!! That is an irresponsible act. It doesn't really matter what we do to ourselves when we don't have children, but when we have… There is no excuse. I can't feel sorry for him. I do feel sorry for his children.
We "lucky Western people" have everything, but we don't know what to do with it. We get bored, confused, unhappy, unhealthy, too lazy to deal with the issues of our life. We need more everything, all the time, nothing pleases us. Nothing makes us happy because we have no clue what happiness is. What is it anyway? We can't find it from Vogue or Esquire. The happiness we buy today is outdated tomorrow. We are not getting more happy after next war is over, or after we know for sure that we won't run out of oil. Happiness is contentment within ourselves. It's really simple. Actually it's too simple for our disturbed minds. Happiness is one thought away. To reach that one thought takes only one deep breath.
No one's life is for waste. Let's learn from this death. Let's get more responsible. Let's think about our children. Let's not leave them with the generations of pain. Let's stop being selfish. Let's look for the real happiness.
Today I read something very interesting. These are the words of a scientist Dr. Robert Lanza who was voted the 3rd most important scientist alive by New York Times:
'It is consciousness that creates the material universe, not the other way around.'
'This account of quantum consciousness explains things like near-death experiences, astral projection, out-of-body experiences, and even reincarnation without needing to appeal to religious ideology. The energy of your consciousness potentially gets recycled back into a different body at some point, and in the meantime it exits outside of the physical body on some other level of reality, and possibly in another universe.' (Biocentrism: How Life and Consciousness Are the Keys to Understanding the Nature of the Universe)
Today I also read this quote from Abraham:
'Someone has said, "the Universe has imagined it even better than you have." And we like to add to that: The Universe got all of its information about what you like from you, and it has remembered every piece of it and has put it together in perfect formation. And so, the things that are on their way to you are so much better than you even know that you want. And as you allow them, the essence all of these things that the Universe knows that you are wanting make their way to you and appear in perfect timing for you.'
There is one truth but about 7.136 billion ways to see and understand it. This is a richness of life not a reason for fight. I'm happy to see that the science and spirituality are getting closer with their understanding.
"Do your best to keep yourself in balance. One of the first things that causes Energy misalignment, is asking or demanding too much of yourself in terms of time and effort. In other words, you just cannot burn the candle at both ends, so that you are physically tired, and then expect yourself to have a cheerful attitude. So, let the rule of thumb be: "I'm going to be very, very, very happy, and then do everything I have time to do after that." - Abraham
"There are as many different worlds as there are perceivers or Beings or individuals. You are not here to create one world where everyone is the same, wanting and getting the same. You are here to be that which you want to be, while you allow all others to be that which they want to be." - Abraham
Last spring my son (8-years old) didn't want to throw away an eaten apple so he planted the remains into an empty flower pot covering the apple with soil. Now the apple tree is almost two feet tall and of course a very precious to my son. But yesterday it almost got destroyed. Last night I noticed a spider web all around the tree and tiny whiteflies covering the leafs. The tree was in trouble. My son got really sad, so we gave the tree a shower and washed it clean. The situation didn't look good, but I promised my son that we can heal the tree, it just needs a lot of love and care.
I went to check all other plants in our house, just in case, and then I found something odd at this time of the year. It's late November and the temperature is below zero Celsius, but for some reason I found a ladybug swimming in a cup of water that we had left on windowsill. There is no way that they can still be alive at this late in the Fall but this one was waiting for us to rescue it. So we did. The ladybug was tired after a long swim and we gave her sugar. She didn't eat. My son said 'they eat whiteflies, mom, where can we get whiteflies?' At the same time we were looking at each other and realizing that this tiny ladybug was here to help us with our problem.
We placed her on top of the apple tree, and she began to eat. All night she spent hovering the leafs, eating and getting the tree free from the whiteflies. She is still here helping us to heal the tree.
Miracles happen every moment.

Welcome to see my new pages. It certainly took a long time for me to get here. Now I'm here!
